We’re Clint and Yoko, the husband-and-wife team behind Noodle in a Haystack. This all started somewhat accidentally in our living room over a decade ago, chasing the flavors and memories we missed from life in Japan. Those dinners became a pop-up, then a that no one could ever get into. Through it all, our mission stayed the same: cook food we love, follow our curiosity, get a little better every day, and have an awesome time with everyone around our counter.
Mazé (sounds like: MAH-ZÉH)—“to mix” in Japanese—is our next chapter. We’re RE-mixing Japanese, Chinese, and Bay Area flavors and influences through a style of ramen we absolutely adore: mazémen, or “mixed-up ramen”—saucy noodles you mix together before digging in. 
We’ll also have some fun bites and something really special for dessert. It’s everything we’ve learned and loved over the last 10 years, with the same personal approach to food and more room to welcome you.
